Penguin Writing Sheet or Color Sheet

Penguin crafat, writing sheet or color sheetSee Bigger Picture

Writing Sheet - Children can use this writing sheet to write facts about penguins, words that start with the letter "P", or write a short story.

Coloring Sheet - This sheet doesn't have any lines for writing. It can be used as a coloring sheet. It can also be used to make a water color picture if you print it out on heavy paper. Have your children draw a design, such as feathers with crayons and then paint over the picture with water color paint.

Children can also glue pictures that start wiith the letter "P" on the penguin's belly, or draw a winter scene on his belly.

Sock Penguin Craft for Kids

Sock Penguin Craft for KidsThis adorable penguin is made with socks and a finger of a glove.

Use the directions How to Make No-Sew Sock Dolls from the Sock Craft Page, but do not make the feet. Make only the arms, "wings", or use fun foam to make the wings.

What you will need: Black and white sock or white material, finger from a glove, sock for the hat, fun foam for the feet and wings (optional), low temp. glue gun, pompom, and small rubber bands.

How to make:

1. Cut a piece of white material and glue to the body to make the belly white. Cut feet shapes from orange fun foam.

2. The beak was made from a finger of a glove. It was stuffed lightly and then glued on. To make the hat cut the top off of a sock. Use a rubber band to close one end and then turn it inside out. (Use could also use the toe of a sock and just roll up the cut part.) Glue a pompom to the rubber band end and place it on the penguin's head.
