Plastic Canvas Cross Free Pattern
and Directions

Plastic Canvas Cross

 

  1. Cut out the cross shape from plastic canvas using the pattern as a guide.
  2. Insert the end of the ribbon from the front through hole E.  Pull the ribbon through to the back just far enough to tie a knot and then pull the ribbon from the front so that the knot is tight against the back of the cross. Clip the end of the ribbon close to the knot.
  3. Insert the beginning of the ribbon from front to back through hole 16 and pull the whole length of the ribbon through to the back of the cross.
  4. Insert the ribbon from back to front through hole 15 and pull the whole length of the ribbon through to the front of the cross.
  5. Insert the ribbon from front to back through hole 17 and pull the whole length of the ribbon through to the back of the cross.
  6. Insert the ribbon from back to front through hole 14 and pull the whole length of the ribbon through to the front of the cross.
  7. Insert the ribbon from front to back through hole 18 and pull the whole length of the ribbon through to the back of the cross.
  8. Insert the ribbon from back to front through hole 13 and pull the whole length of the ribbon through to the front of the cross.
  9. Insert the ribbon from front to back through hole 19 and pull the whole length of the ribbon through to the back of the cross.
  10. Insert the ribbon from back to front through hole 12 and pull the whole length of the ribbon through to the front of the cross
  11. Insert the ribbon from front to back through hole 20 and pull the whole length of the ribbon  through to the back of the cross.
  12. Insert the ribbon from back to front through hole 11 and pull the whole length of the ribbon through to the front of the cross.
  13. Wrap the ribbon around point D from the front around to the back, across to point A.
  14. Insert the ribbon from front to back through hole 10 and pull the whole length of the ribbon through to the back of the cross.
  15. Insert the ribbon from back to front through hole 1 and pull the whole length of the ribbon through to the front of the cross
  16. Insert the ribbon from front to back through hole 9 and pull the whole length of the ribbon  through to the back of the cross.
  17. Insert the ribbon from back to front through hole 2 and pull the whole length of the ribbon through to the front of the cross.
  18. Insert the ribbon from front to back through hole 8 and pull the whole length of the ribbon  through to the back of the cross.
  19. Insert the ribbon from back to front through hole 3 and pull the whole length of the ribbon through to the front of the cross
  20. Insert the ribbon from front to back through hole 7 and pull the whole length of the ribbon through to the back of the cross.
  21. Insert the ribbon from back to front through hole 4 and pull the whole length of the ribbon through to the front of the cross.
  22. Insert the ribbon from front to back through hole 6 and pull the whole length of the ribbon through to the back of the cross.
  23. Insert the ribbon from back to front through hole 5 and pull the whole length of the ribbon through to the front of the cross.
  24. Wrap the ribbon around the front and up to point B and around the back to point D.
  25. Wrap the ribbon around the front and up to point A and around the back to point C.
  26. Wrap the ribbon around the front to point B and then around to the back.
  27. Insert the needle and ribbon through ribbons in the back and pull it up to the top of the cross and insert the ribbon through the back of hole 13.
  28. Fold the ribbon over to make a loop at the top and tie a knot in the loop. Push the knot down to meet the top of the cross. Cut off the extra ribbon.
  29. Add some beads and then tie another knot at the top of the beads.
