If you want to save time, you don't have to cut a hole in the paper plate. You can just glue the top of the UFO pattern to the folded paper plate instead.

4. When the paint is dry glue the edges of the paper plate together. Glue the alien picture and the words to the paper plate UFO.

"Dad, I would roll out the Red Carpet for You Any Day" Folding Craft Stick Card Father's Day Craft for Kids
To make this unique father's day card craft sticks are taped together so that the craft sticks can be folded out to form a canvas "red carpet" and folded up to form a compact stack of sticks.
What you will need:
Woodsies Mini Jumbo Craft Sticks -4.5" 50/Pkg - Use good quality craft sticks that lay flat. The 5/8" work perfect with the one-inch tape. *You can use the Woodsies Jumbo Craft Sticks with the 1.5 Inch - 3M Scotch Masking Tape for a bigger Canvas.
3M Scotch Masking Tape, 1-Inch - Other brands will work, but this tape works great! It is the exact color of the craft sticks. (Staple's Tape works better with the washable markers, but it is lighter than the stick and more transparent and doesn't cover the stick as well.)
Permanent Markers, red acrylic paint
Glitter glue
Red Ribbon - 1/4"
Glue Gun
How to Make the Folding Craft Stick Canvas:
1. If you are using the mini-jumbo craft sticks, cut the one-inch masking into 4-inch pieces.
2. Place two sticks together, side by side, long ways, and tape them together covering both the sticks with the tape.
3. Turn the two sticks over so that they are diagonal to you.
4. Place another craft stick next to and below the two sticks that you taped together. Use another piece of tape to tape the bottom two sticks together. |
 |
5. Turn all three sticks over diagonally and place another stick at the bottom of the row and tape the last two sticks together. Keep going until you have a whole row of sticks.
6. You can also cover the first and last stick in the row by placing tape over the stick and then folding it back over the stick. It is easier to write on the tape than the craft stick. The ink soaks into the sticks and blurs.
7. Paint the sticks red leaving the tips of the craft sticks unpainted. When the acrylic paint is dry use a black marker to write the words.
8. Use glitter glue to outline the "red carpet."
9. Glue a ribbon on the top of the row of craft sticks.

Cookie Filled With Love
Written by Carolyn Warvel
Dad,
I made this special cookie just for you.
It’s to thank you for all you do.
I Added lots of sugar because you’re so sweet.
You deserve this delicious treat.
A little bit of vanilla because you add flavor to my days.
I can’t even begin to count the ways.
A teaspoon of cinnamon to spice up the dough.
Because you always pick me up when I feel low.
I’ve also added some things you cannot see,
But they’re important, I’m sure you’ll agree:
A cup of love and some great big hugs
But let’s hope there aren’t any bugs!
It is illegal to copy this poem and place it on another web site even if you include the author's name.

"I Have a Soft Spot in my Heart for You!" Felted Heart Card
This card can be made for anyone. It uses a special technique called needle felting which uses a sharp needle. It should only be attempted by older children with adult supervision.
Needle felting is a lot of fun. It is a lot like working with Fimo clay except you use a needle to sculpt with. You need very few supplies -- just wool roving, needles, and a piece of 2" foam so it is very inexpensive hobby to start. But, beware, it is very addictive. How to Make a Car
Air Freshener Craft
 Here
is a gift that just about all dads can use. These patterns can
be adapted to look like the child's father or the child that is giving
the gift to dad. On the father air freshener you can put a little
note on it that says, "World's Best Dad" and on the child's you can
put something like, "I love you, Dad." Makes a great Father's Day gift.
What
you will need: Fun foam to match skin tone. Fake hair to match
the child's or father's hair. Felt to make clothes. Yarn or
string to hang the freshener, glue, wiggly eyes, permanent markers,
eyelet lace and ribbon, air freshener oil (found where you buy car
air fresheners)
How to make:
Print
out the patterns for the father and daughter, son. (Printing Problems?)
Cut
two of each pattern to make one freshener. There will be a
face on the back and the front of each freshener so that it looks
good from all directions.
To
make the daughters face cut 18 pieces of yarn 9 inches long.
Loosely tie 9 pieces of yarn together in the middle for one face
and do it again for the face on the back of the freshener. Glue
the hair on in the middle of the heads. Glue the arms and
feet onto the dress and then glue the body onto the head to complete
one side of the doll. Glue the other dress and the other head to
back of the completed side so that the freshener can be viewed from
any angle. Tie the yarn for the hair together on each side of the
head to make pony tails. Braid the pony tails and tie ribbons onto
the end. Finish by gluing on eyes and drawing a mouth and
nose. Add eyelet lace to the bottom of the dress. Put
some air freshener oil on the felt to make the freshener smell good.
To
make the father follow the same directions as for the daughter except
for the hair. Add hair to make it look like your father or husband.
To
make the son, use the same hands, face, and feet pattern as the
daughter, but use the son clothes.

A
Wallet filled with Love
All the money in the world could never compare,
To all the hugs and kisses and the ways you show You care,
I wish I could repay you for everything you've done.
If you open up this wallet, you'll see how I've begun.

How to Make a Picture
for Daddy Father's Day Card
Here's a simple poem you can use to make a card for Dad. This
makes a great Father's Day gift from young children.
A
Picture For You
Here's a picture I drew for you
.
I cannot write so it will have to do.
If I could, I would like it to say:
"Have a happy Father's Day!"

How to Make a Baby
Foot Print Picture
Here
is a poem you can use with babies for their dad. Write or type
the poem below on a piece of white paper. (Please include the author when copying the poem. See copyright notice below.) Make a border or use clip
art. Press the child's feet into a "safe for children" paint and then onto
the paper. When the prints are dry, glue (using rubber cement) the
whole paper onto a piece of construction paper for a frame.
You can also add some yarn at the top to hang the picture.
A
Father's Role
On this paper you will find,
some tiny footprints that are one of
a kind.
They 're here to remind you the role you play,
in the foundation that you lay
.
God has given you this great treasure.
Teach her right and share her pleasure.
She learns from you in every way,
so be careful of the words you say.
Hold her tight and calm her fears.
When she cries wipe away her tears.
In all these things she feels your love,
and learns to trust the Lord above.

for Dad. If you don't want to make the box, use an empty tin can.

as: smart, good, top, super, best, quality, etc. They are very easy
to find. Just look in the ads.
