Father's
Day Crafts Kids Can Make
What you will need: Paper, colored pencils, markers or crayons, and glue. What to do: 1. Draw a picture of a dog with a bone in it's mouth as shown in the picture. If you would like the ears to flop down, draw the ears straight up so that when you cut them out you can bend them down as shown in the picture. Patterns for this craft are available to members only. 2. Cut out the dog, fold down the ears, and glue it to another piece of paper or card stock. 3. Write "Dad, there's no bones about it, you're Top Dog!" on the bottom of the card. Copyright Notice - Even though many of the crafts on this site are free, they are still copyrighted. They may not be reproduced or transmitted in any form or by any means, electronic or mechanical, except for use in your local church, school, home, library, and other organizations. It is illegal to copy any part of this craft and place it on another web site, bulletin board, or personal web site. An idiom is an expression or phrase whose meaning cannot be deduced from the literal definitions, but refers instead to a figurative meaning that is known only through common use: "No bones about it" - no doubt, and "Top Dog" - the best. Also the "Big Cheese" card and the "Apple of my eye" card below, use idioms. You can use these cards to introduce idioms to your children.
What you will need: Paper, an apple cut in half, red and green paint, and markers. What to do: 1. Fold a piece of white paper in half to make a card. At the bottom of the page write, "Dad, you're the apple of my eye. I love you to the core!" A pattern for this card is available to members. 2. Cut the apple in half lengthwise. Squirt some red paint onto a paper plate. Use the apple as a rubber stamp. Rub the apple around in the paint until the cut side is covered with paint. Then stamp the apple onto the front of the card. 3. Use your finger tip to make a worm, and paint a stem and leaves on the top of the apple. Let the paint dry then use a marker to add eyes, legs, and antennae to the worm. Copyright Notice - Even though many of the crafts on this site are free, they are still copyrighted.
