Abraham Talks with God Bible Lesson

The following lesson and crafts come from the Bible lesson, "Abraham Talks with God" on The Resource Room.

What you will need:

Paper, Crayons or Colored Pencils, Brass Brads, Scissors, Hole Punch

 

What to do:

1. Before class print out the activity sheet and make copies. (A printable activity sheet available to members on The Resource Room and as an instant download above.)

2. Cut out the conversation shape on the main sheet.

3. Cut out the conversation wheel.

4. In class have your children color the picture and then punch a hole in the main page and the center of the wheel.

5. Place the conversation wheel behind the main page and line up the two holes. Secure the two with a brass fastener.

Children can review the lesson by turning the wheel to see how Abraham Talked with God.

Paper, Crayons, Watercolor Paints, Paint Brushes, Paper Towels, Cups for Water and Drinking Straws

 

What to do:

1. Before class print out the activity sheet and make copies. Do not use water-based ink printers.

2. In class have your children color the picture with crayons and then use watercolor paints to make the fire and brimstone.

3. Show them how to put blobs of paint on the paper and then use a drinking straw to blow the paint around to look like fire.

Children can retail the story of Lot and his Family using this activity sheet.

They turn the picture of Lot's wife over to make her turn into a pillar of salt when she looks back at Sodom.

What you will need:

Paper, Crayons, Craft Sticks, Scissors and Glue

 

What to do:

1. Before class print out the puppet background scene and make copies.

2. In class have your children color the background scene and puppets with colored pencils.

3. Cut out the puppets and glue them to craft sticks. Glue the Lot's wife puppets back to back so that the children can turn the puppet around to make her turn into a pillar of salt.

4. Cut a slit down the center of the road so that the stick puppets can be inserted into the scene.

Have your children use the puppets to act out the Bible story.

In this lesson the teacher or students draw stick figures to represent the people of Sodom. As the teacher presents the lesson she or he deletes stick figures every time the Lord promises not to destory Sodom if he finds a certain amount of rigtheouse people in the city.

Children  turn the wheel to find the number and letters that match the activity sheet. When they find a matching number and letter, they should write that word or words in the space above the matchting number and letter.
