Search-and-Find Winter Words Review and Writing Activity

Prepare the snow globes before class by placing snowflakes, winter-themed pictures, and words between two clear paper plates. Use snowflake-shaped sequins, paper snowflakes, and circles made from paper punches to create various snowflakes. Add winter-themed images and words onto the plates, and then glue or staple the plates together to form a globe.

Have your students shake and turn the globes to discover as many words and images as possible. They should write down the words they find on a sheet of paper and then challenge them to create a short story using those words. Search-and-Find Snow Globe Craft

1. Have children make their own snow globes using the directions above.

2. Encourage them to write words relating to snow or winter and place them in their snowglobes. You can also have them write a short sentence about snow, cut the words apart, and place them in the snow glove. Once they are finished, they can have their classmates try to find the words and put them together to figure out the sentence.
